Hi there! We are Scott & Sara and we are honored to be the owners of Maker’s Mercantile. Our story began here in Duluth when Scott, a junior at the University of Minnesota Duluth spotted me (Sara) from across the room at a social gathering. He thought I was cute. I thought he had bad hair. But, a little time and a haircut later, we fell in love with each other and have since planted our roots in the city that we love - Duluth.
A handful of years ago, our love of the North Shore and excitement about handmade products collided over a chat around the dinner table, and the idea for Makers Mercantile was born. Fast forward a few years to 2020 where we recently celebrated 8 years of marriage, have welcomed 3 babies, and are 3 years into one fantastic business.
We hope the shop is a place where makers are celebrated, locals feel at home, and visitors are inspired. Whether you are a maker, local or visitor, please stop in. We can’t wait to meet you!
